D'Aujourd'hui Duo
The Duo D'Aujourd'hui composed by Francisco Rojas and Soledad Martínez was born out of an artistic love to the sometimes unknown repertoire for this chamber music group. It started in 2017 during their studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Music Victoria Eugenia of Granada with the chamber music professors Ana Bocanegra, Paco Moya and Tatiana Franco. From this moment they have been participating on different competitions and festivals presenting their projects. In 2018 they win the first prize on the First Competition in the International Courses Eduardo del Pueyo in Granada and in 2019 they participate with their project Brouwer in the 68 International Music and Dance Festival in Granada, collaborating with the Cadena Ser Radio of Spain. During their studies they win prizes on different soloist competitions as the Medici International Competition in 2021 and the Soloist Competition of the Royal Conservatoire Victoria Eugenia of Granada in 2019 and 2021. In 2021 they present their last project based on Balkan music in which they are bringing to light different pieces with a huge technical requirement. Nowadays, Francisco Rojas is studying his Master Degree in the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (Belgium) and Soledad Martínez is studying an Erasmus Program in the Conservatoire of Music Jacopo Tomadini (Italy). The program is: L’Aube Enchantée sur le Raga Todi 13’ Ravi Shankar Folkloric Rumanian Dances 10’ Béla Bártok Bot tánc - Jocul cu bâta Brâul Pê loc Buciumeana Poarga Româneasca Songs and Dances from the New Village 10’ Dusan Bogdanovic Shepherd’s Song Lesnoto according to Johann Gankino Oro Prophet’s Song Milcho’s Boogie Sonatine 11’ Atanas Ourkouzounov Mouvement Bulgare Comme un chant Rondeau Serbe
