The Antwerp MixedSound Quartet was born in 2021 as a classical music group within the International Arts Centre DeSingel. Their journey began encouraged by the Creative Project department in the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where the quartet members currently study, and had their first concert in Harmoniegebouw. The ensemble is made of four musicians, friends of different nationalities but with a common approach: to enjoy staying together, giving concerts and thus developing their artistic skills, in order to put across their music throughout the city of Antwerp. We offer public concerts of all type of length and character, where we cover different kinds of music, trying to blend with the public with pieces from different ages: Classical music like Air (Bach), Adagio (Albinoni) or Canon (Pachelbel). Movie soundtracks, for example Moon River (Mancini), Gabriel’s Oboe, Cinema Paradiso (Morricone), Tango Por Una Cabeza (Gardel). Pop and rock music too, like Can’t Help Falling in Love (Presley), Yesterday, Hey Jude (Beatles) or Hallelujah (Cohen).
